Ruggerfest 2018

Registration closes today

Ruggerfest is open to all players that participated in the CJRA 2017-2018 Winter League.

We will be competing against teams from across the Southeast in the following divisions:.
- Prep
- JV Middle School
- Varsity Middle School.

Players must be available to play in the Carolina Ruggerfest tournament on the weekend of March 3rd and 4th, both days.


Charlotte Tigers Rugby Club - 2017/18

The Charlotte Tigers Rugby Club is a premier high school community rugby program that competes in the North Carolina Youth Rugby Open Division (NCYRU), the Mid-South Independent Rugby League (MSIRL), as well as playing nationally ranked teams from around the country.

The Tigers practice at The British International School of Charlotte - 7000 Endhaven Ln., Charlotte 28277

Practices will be held at from 4:30-6:30pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Practices will start in mid-November and continue through until the end of May.

Our Tigers coaching team will be working with both Varsity, JV teams, preparing them for upcoming HS tournaments and the NCYRU and MSIRL spring seasons.

MGLA Jaguars (Community Club) - Spring Tackle Rugby 2018

The MGLA tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Jaguars will play against other rugby teams in the same divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30pm at Military and Global Leadership Academy at Marie G. Davis Football Field, 3351 Griffith Street, Charlotte, NC 28203.

The first practice is Thursday, March 15th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Charlotte Tigress - High School Girls Tackle Rugby 2017-2018

The Charlotte Tigress HS tackle rugby program is open to any high school girls in 9th to 12th grade.

The Tigresses will play against other girls rugby teams Varsity and Junior Varsity divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30pm at The British International School - 7000 Endhaven Lane, Charlotte, NC 28277.

The first practice is Thursday, November 16th.


Myers Park HS Girls Rugby Club 2017/2018

The MPHS Girls Rugby Club is a school based high school rugby program that competes in the NCYRU State competition. The program is run by MPHS and supported by CJRA.

Practice will be held at The Pit at Selwyn Elementary School from 2:30-4:00pm every Monday and Wednesday. The first practice will be Monday, November 13th.

Our CJRA coaching team will be working with the team to help them prepare for upcoming HS tournaments and the NCYRU spring season.


Ballantyne Pumas (Community Club) - Spring Tackle Rugby 2018

The Ballantyne Pumas tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Pumas will play against other rugby teams in the same divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at The British International School, 7000 Endhaven Lane, Charlotte, NC 28277.

The first practice is Tuesday, March 13th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Cornelius Cobras (Community Club) - Spring Tackle Rugby 2018

The Cornelius Cobras tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Cobras will play against other rugby teams in the same divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Robbins Park, 17738 W Catawba Ave, Cornelius, NC 28031.

The first practice is Wednesday, March 14th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Matthews Mustangs (Community Club)-Spring Tackle Rugby 2018

The Matthews Mustangs tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Mustangs will play against other rugby teams in the same divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at The MARA practice field. MARA is located at 1200 South Trade St in Matthews @ Arthur Goodman Park.

The first practice is Wednesday, March 14th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Rock Hill Rhinos - Spring Tackle Rugby 2018

The Rock Hill Rhinos is a community tackle rugby program that is open to both boys and girls in 2nd-8th grade.

The Rhinos will play against other rugby teams in the same divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at The Greens. The Greens is located at 1159 Riverwalk Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

The first practice is Wednesday, March 14th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Steele Creek Dragons (Community Club)-Spring Rugby 2018

The Steele Creek Dragons tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Dragons will play against other rugby teams in the same divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will focus on introducing new players to contact rugby and developing players who have had previous experience.

Practices will be held on Mondays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Steele Creek Athletic Association Fields. SCAA is located at 13530 Choate Cir, Charlotte, NC 28273

The first practice is Monday, March 12th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


The Irish (Community Club) - Spring Tackle Rugby 2018

The Irish tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 6th to 8th grade.
The Irish will play against other rugby teams in the same divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Mondays from 5:00 to 7:00pm at EB Moore Park, 901 Marsh Rd, Charlotte, NC 28209.
(Holy Trinity students have an opportunity to attend Study Hall. These students will be escorted from the school to practice)

The first practice is Monday, March 12th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.
