Ballantyne Pumas (Community Club)-Spring Tackle Rugby 2017

The Ballantyne Pumas tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Pumas will play against other rugby teams in same age group divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at The British American School, 7000 Endhaven Lane, Charlotte, NC 28277.

The first practice is Tuesday, March 14th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Charlotte Tigers Rugby Club - 2016/17

The Charlotte Tigers Rugby Club is a premier high school community rugby program that competes in the NCYRU State competition as well as playing nationally ranked teams from around the country.

The Tigers practice at The Military and Global Leadership Academy at Marie G. Davis Football Field, 3351 Griffith Street, Charlotte, NC 28203

Practices will be held at MGLA from 4:30-6:30pm every Tuesday and Thursday for HS boys and every Thursday for HS girls. Practices will start in mid November and going through until May.

Our Tigers coaching team will be working with both Varsity, JV and HS girls teams, preparing them for upcoming HS tournaments and the NCYRU spring season.

MGLA Jaguars (Community Club) - Spring Tackle Rugby 2017

The MGLA tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Jaguars will play against other rugby teams in same age group divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Cornelius Cobras (Community Club) - Spring Tackle Rugby 2017

The Cornelius Cobras tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Cobras will play against other rugby teams in same age group divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Robbins Park, 17738 W Catawba Ave, Cornelius, NC 28031.

The first practice is Wednesday, March 15th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Matthews Mustangs (Community Club)-Spring Tackle Rugby 2017

The Matthews Mustangs tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Mustangs will play against other rugby teams in same age group divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at The MARA practice field. MARA is located at 1200 South Trade St in Matthews @ Arthur Goodman Park.

The first practice is Wednesday, March 15th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


South Charlotte Irish (Community Club)- Spring Rugby 2017

The South Charlotte Irish tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 6th to 8th grade.
The Irish will play against other rugby teams in same age group divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Mondays from 5:00 to 7:00pm at EB Moore Park, 901 Marsh Rd, Charlotte, NC 28209.
(Holy Trinity students have an opportunity to attend Study Hall. These students will be escorted from the school to practice)

The first practice is Monday, March 13th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Steele Creek Dragons (Community Club) - Spring Rugby 2017

The Steele Creek Dragons tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.
The Dragons will play against other rugby teams in same age group divisions both in the Charlotte area and from other parts of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU).

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will focus on introducing new players to contact rugby and developing players who have had previous experience.

Practices will be held on Mondays from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Steele Creek Athletic Association Fields. SCAA is located at 13530 Choate Cir, Charlotte, NC 28273

The first practice is Monday, March 13th. The spring season will culminate with the Carolina Cup (State Championship) in May.


Charlotte High Performance Rugby Academy 2017-18 RE-REGISTER

The Charlotte High Performance Rugby Academy(CHPRA), in partnership with EIRA, will be open to ANY player in middle or high school from any and all rugby clubs and/ or schools. The academy will operate YEAR-ROUND and will not require any travel outside of the Charlotte area, nor will it interfere with a players’ specific team commitments.
The academy is specifically designed for players who have already played at least one season, take rugby seriously, and want to take their skills and understanding of technical and tactical aspects of the game to the next level. Instruction will vary to include all aspects of the game and designed to help players meet their overall and positional goals. This is high level, high-performance training run by Brendan Keane

All sessions will be held at the British International School Field in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte on Wednesdays. The high school portion will run from 3:30pm-5pm and the middle school portion from 5:15pm-6:pm.
The academy will run year-round and will include 41 sessions.
