Alexander Graham MS Bulldogs - Winter 2017/2018

The AGMS rugby club is open to both boys and girls in 6th-8th grade.

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will focus on introducing new players to contact rugby and developing players who have had previous experience. The Bulldogs will be joining the CJRA Winter League and will play against other middle school teams.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)
Middle School Varsity: (usually 14 and under, 7th and 8th grade boys only)
We sometimes make exception for players to play up or down to ensure size/ experience fairness as much as possible.

Games will be played on Saturdays with the end of season tournament being held on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Practice will be held for all the teams at The Pit at Selwyn Elementary School from 4:00-5:00pm every Monday and Wednesday.

The first practice will be on Monday, November 13.


Bailey MS Broncos - Winter 2017/2018

The Bailey MS rugby club is open to both boys and girls in 6th-8th grade.

Our USA Rugby certified coaches focus on introducing new players to contact rugby and developing players who have had previous experience. The Broncos will be joining the CJRA Winter League and will play against other middle school teams.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)
Middle School Varsity: (usually 14 and under, 7th and 8th grade boys only)
We sometimes make exception for players to play up or down to ensure size/ experience fairness as much as possible.

Games will be played on Saturdays with the end of season tournament being held on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Practice will be held at Bailey Middle School for all the teams from 4:30-6:30pm every Wednesday. The Cobras (ES) will be practicing at the same time and location.

The first practice will be on Wednesday, November 15.


Ballantyne Pumas (Community Club) - Tackle Rugby 2017/2018

The Ballantyne Pumas is a community tackle rugby program that is open to both boys and girls in 2nd-8th grade.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Rookie: (usually 8 and under, 2nd and 3rd graders)
Prep: (usually 10 and under, 3rd-5th graders)
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)
Middle School Varsity: (usually 14 and under, 7th and 8th grade boys only)
We make exception for players to play up or down to ensure size/ experience fairness as much as possible.

All divisions will practice in the same location - The British International School (7000 Endhaven Lane) from 6:00-8:00pm every Tuesday.

The first practice for all divisions will be on Tuesday, November 14.

Carmel MS Cougars - Winter 2017/2018

The Cougars Rugby Club is open to boys and girls in 6th-8th grade.

The Community House MS rugby club is open to both boys and girls in 6th-8th grade.

Cornelius/Huntersville Cobras - Tackle Rugby 2017/18

The Cornelius/Huntersville Cobras is a community tackle rugby program that is open to both boys and girls in 2nd-6th grade.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Rookie: (usually 8 and under, 2nd and 3rd graders)
Prep: (usually 10 and under, 3rd-5th graders)
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)

Matthews Mustangs/Bears/Sharks-Winter Tackle Rugby 2017/2018

The Matthews Rugby Program is a community tackle rugby program that is open to both boys and girls in 2nd-8th grade.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Rookie: (usually 8 and under, 2nd and 3rd graders)
Prep: (usually 10 and under, 3rd-5th graders)
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)
Middle School Varsity: (usually 14 and under, 7th and 8th grade boys only)
We sometimes make exception for players to play up or down to ensure size/ experience fairness as much as possible.

All divisions will practice in the same location - The MARA practice field from 6:00-8:00pm every Wednesday. MARA is located at 1200 South Trade St in Matthews @ Arthur Goodman Park.

The first practice for all divisions will be on Wednesday, November 15.

MGLA Jaguars - Winter Tackle Rugby 2017/2018

The MGLA Jaguars is a school based tackle rugby program that is also open to community players. The program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Rookie: (usually 8 and under, 2nd and 3rd graders)
Prep: (usually 10 and under, 3rd-5th graders)
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)
Middle School Varsity: (usually 14 and under, 7th and 8th grade boys only)
We sometimes make exception for players to play up or down to ensure size/ experience fairness as much as possible.

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will work to both further develop returning CJRA players as well as welcome in and train players brand new to the sport.

Practices will be held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30pm at Military and Global Leadership Academy at Marie G. Davis Football Field, 3351 Griffith Street, Charlotte, NC 28203.

The first practice is Thursday, November 16.

Charlotte Tigers Rugby Club - 2017/18

The Charlotte Tigers Rugby Club is a premier high school community rugby program that competes in the North Carolina Youth Rugby Open Division (NCYRU), the Mid-South Independent Rugby League (MSIRL), as well as playing nationally ranked teams from around the country.

The Tigers practice at The British International School of Charlotte - 7000 Endhaven Ln., Charlotte 28277

Practices will be held at from 4:30-6:30pm every Tuesday and Thursday for HS boys and every Thursday for HS girls. Practices will start in mid-November and continue through until the end of May.

Our Tigers coaching team will be working with both Varsity, JV and HS girls teams, preparing them for upcoming HS tournaments and the NCYRU and MSIRL spring seasons.


Quail Hollow MS Falcons - Winter 2017/2018

The QHMS rugby club is open to both boys and girls in 6th-8th grade.

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will focus on introducing new players to contact rugby and developing players who have had previous experience. The Falcons will be joining the CJRA Winter League and will play against other middle school teams.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)
Middle School Varsity: (usually 14 and under, 7th and 8th grade boys only)

The Rock Hill Rhinos is a community tackle rugby program that is open to both boys and girls in 2nd-8th grade.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:

South Charlotte MS Shockers - Winter 2017-2018

The South Charlotte MS rugby club is open to both boys and girls in 6th-8th grade.

Our USA Rugby certified coaches will focus on introducing new players to contact rugby and developing players who have had previous experience. The Shockers will be joining the CJRA Winter League and will play against other middle school teams.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:

Steele Creek Dragons - Winter Tackle Rugby 2017/2018

The Steele Creek Dragons tackle rugby program is open to both boys and girls in 2nd to 8th grade.

Players will be divided into age/ grade teams.
Our divisions are:
Rookie: (usually 8 and under, 2nd and 3rd graders)
Prep: (usually 10 and under, 3rd-5th graders)
Middle School JV: (usually 12 and under, 5th-7th graders and 8th grade girls)
Middle School Varsity: (usually 14 and under, 7th and 8th grade boys only)

Both teams will practice at the same location - Practices will be held on Mondays from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Upper Field at Holy Trinity Middle School -3100 Park Rd, Charlotte.
(Holy Trinity students have an opportunity to attend Study Hall. These students will be escorted from the school to practice).

The first practice will be on Monday, November 13.


Myers Park HS Girls Rugby Club 2017/2018

The MPHS Girls Rugby Club is a school based high school rugby program that competes in the NCYRU State competition. The program is run by MPHS and supported by CJRA.

Practice will be held at The Pit at Selwyn Elementary School from 2:30-4:00pm every Monday and Wednesday. The first practice will be Monday, November 13th.

Our CJRA coaching team will be working with the team to help them prepare for upcoming HS tournaments and the NCYRU spring season.
